To begin with I'd like to thank everyone on this network for all your valuable inputs w.r.t previous topics I've published. To keep you'll updated, I've decided to postpone my decision to venture on my own. I have recently joined an HR Consultancy firm as a consultant.
I would appreciate any advise you'll could give me about how to go about getting in touch with organisations, and reach out to them for an initial meeting so as to explore business possibilities. I would essentially be looking at larger companies, local / international.
Lastly, I'd appreciate it if any of you'll are in a position to introduce me to the kind of people I'm looking to connect with.
Thanking you'll in advance

First and foremost understand the space in which your organisation i.e your existing clients, secondly, check on the Internet or the portals front page where you will get to know the current openings in various Industries. Next, decide which space you want to specialise, like you want to be a consultant of recruiting candidates in HR or IT or Finance or Engineering or BFSI or Pharma or Infrastructure or Retail etc. Then decide which are the organisation who are based in your place in that vertical, then next whom do you think should be your client(here you need to do full research as you have to tap the growing organisation, so that you will get nos of openings). After this is done, know from the portals download couple of resumes from these companies whom you want as client talk to them or meet these candidates to understand how the current company is etc and why and what are they looking in a change of organisation, at the same time use your charm to get the HR head of this organisation. By this way you get the full information and details of the client to be etc. Then understand the client completely and try from your organisation point of you how you will bring the quality resource for this to be client.
This is as far as I think would make you to start your initial work, more latter.Private Reply to s venkatesan | Dec 05, 2007 1:00 pm | | re: Advise regarding Consulting... | # | Stankov | | Karen,
