Just wanted to know the views of this group on a sticky issue.
Is it worthwhile to have a Third party independent Consultant / agency to have a look at your HR Systems including PMS and other critical aspects and give you a unbiased opinion of what's good and more importantly what's not? And ofcourse suggest the right course of action to rectify what's not?
I personally feel that's a good way of doing it. Yes it might be expensive but it brings in some kind of a credibility to the Department.
What do you think?
Cheers

If you are not using any Best of the Breed Solution then you would need to bring in outside consultants.
Before you bring on the consultant, first check what is that you want to achieve and see if your management will accept that.
Only then you should bring in outside conultants.
